There are many things to consider when starting a diet, your health is one of them. Here is a selection of common health questions asked by people when starting the HCG diet.
I'm having a cat scan next week, can I use HCG drops?
Yes, it is just fine, unless your doctor advises you differently due to a health issue that we are not aware of
Is it normal to have amenorrhea while in the diet?
Amenorrhea is not common at all. Although it could have several different causes. Rapid or excessive weight loss can be a cause. Some of the most common causes are pregnancy, recently stopping birth control, a change in environment or diet, age can have an impact and many other factors. If you do not find your self-regulating with your cycle, we would encourage you to consult your physician. In the extremely rare instances that have been reported from women on the HCG diet, they all found that after they finished their diets, that their cycles regulated. We hope that this helps.
Is is possible that the drops could be too strong for me? I feel very jittery 20-30 mins after taking the drops. It is very dramatic that it happens each time after the drops so it is not being caused by anything else. The jitteryness is accompanied by anxiety and I feel like crying. It eventually passes after a couple hours but happens again when I take them again. I have a past history of hyper thyroid and iodine exacerbates it. Could this have something to do with it? Now I am afraid to take them again before dinner. Maybe 5 drops instead of 10.
We have not heard of anyone ever reacting to the drops that way. You certainly can try to adjust the dosage. We would recommend however that you consult your physician to determine if there are any underlying health issues that need to be addressed. We would recommend that you suspend taking the drops until your doctor can assess your health.
I have high sugar levels and a border line diabetic, I've noticed that I am feeling not well as a result of the lack of carbs. Is this a bad thing for me?
We highly recommend that you consult your doctor prior to continuation with the diet. They can run blood test to make sure that your blood sugar levels are safe and they can also make any recommended modifications to the diet to meet your body's and lifestyle needs.
